Expansion of Bauder Registered Fastener Suppliers
Bauder are pleased to announce as part of its continued commitment to provide market leading service that we have expanded the number of fastener suppliers that we partner with to provide you with greater options when choosing your fastener supplier on a Bauder mechanically fastened project.
The current situation
Until now we have named one Fastener company within our specifications and when they provide fasteners on Bauder projects with a Product & Workmanship (and P,W&D) guarantee then the fasteners are included within the Bauder guarantee. We have now expanded this fastener supplier arrangement to include 3 additional SPRA Associate Manufacturers that will enhance your options when choosing the supplier of fasteners on Bauder projects.
How does this update effect you?
You now have the option of working with SFS, Fixfast, Ejot or Fixing Point on Bauder mechanically fastened projects in confidence that the fasteners will be covered by Bauder within our Product & Workmanship (and P,W&D) guarantees.
As previously you can contact the Bauder Technical Dept for your insulation & waterproofing windload calculations and pull out test requests, or you can communicate directly with your chosen fastener supplier from our list attached.
Ordering fastener products
All procurement of fastener products will continue to be directly between Roofing Contractor and Fastener Supplier. Bauder will not stock or administer orders for fastener products. These new arrangements will commence in May 2025.

SDF L drainage mat
As part of Bauder’s review of our product range to make them more sustainable, we have been able to significantly reduce the plastic content of our SDF mat product and therefore reduce its carbon footprint. The new product will be called SDF L.
Benefits of the new SDF L drainage mat
- Weight is reduced from 600 g/m² to 380 g/m² (from 30 kg to 19 kg per roll)
- Plastic content is reduced by 37%
- Carbon footprint is reduced by a third
- Improved horizontal flow rate (from 0.75 l/s to 0.78 l/s)
- SDF L will be supplied in the same 50m x 1m rolls
- SDF L looks very similar to the existing SDF mat
What happens now?
All new specifications requiring SDF mat will now have SDF L specified. As current stocks of SDF mat are exhausted, new orders will be fulfilled using SDF L.
Note: There are no adverse changes in the performance of the green roof system by using the SDF L.
