Supply of Bauder Tapered Insulation
Following the successful launch of PIR FA Tapered Insulation, Bauder Approved Contractors have provided positive feedback regarding the system and its easier installation techniques.
We would like to provide an update regarding the design service and lead times for our tapered insulation products.
Standard Bauder Tapered Boards
The default board used within current tapered insulation designs is Bauder PIR FA Tapered.
This product is available with a fall of 1:60 and is used in conjunction with Bauder FA-TE as a base layer.
Standard lead times are:
- 5 working days for standard projects.
- 15 working days for larger projects.
Tapered Gutters
For tapered gutter designs within FA Tapered schemes, the default board is the unfaced PIR T Tapered board with a fall of 1:80.
This complies with the minimum fall requirements of BS 6229.
These boards are stocked with expected lead times of approximately 5 working days.
PIR T Tapered
Demand for PIR T Tapered supplied at a 1:60 fall has naturally reduced following the success and increased use of PIR FA Tapered.
As a result, stock holding levels have been adjusted.
Effective from 1st June 2020, lead times for PIR T Tapered boards increased from 5 working days for stocked items to 15 working days.
Bauder PIR T boards supplied in various falls will continue to be available on a 15 working day lead time.

Design Service
The Bauder Technical Team can design bespoke tapered insulation schemes for individual projects and provide advice regarding flat roof fall design.
The project-specific design provided by Bauder must be followed on site to ensure that the correct layout, falls and U-value performance are achieved.
If a tapered insulation scheme is incorrectly set out or installed from the wrong starting point, the roof may not achieve its intended performance.
