Changes to Bauder Flow Restrictors

Following the successful launch of BauderBLUE ST adjustable flow restrictors in August, older specifications using the previous SR Blue Roof flow restrictors will be recalculated for the new ST adjustable flow restrictor from January 2023.

Outline of Changes

Our new BauderBLUE ST Adjustable Flow Restrictors allow the flow rate of the restrictor to be adjusted and set on site.

The ST products also offer the advantage of a wider range of flow rates, potentially reducing the number of outlets required within a Blue Roof design.

This change enables Bauder to hold stock of the adjustable flow restrictor, significantly reducing lead times for projects.

Blue Roof calculations produced from August 2022 onwards have already been carried out using the BauderBLUE ST Adjustable Flow Restrictor.

From January 2023, projects where the older SR Flow Restrictors were used for Blue Roof calculations will be recalculated using the new ST Adjustable Flow Restrictor.

General Guidance

Contractors will still be able to purchase the original BauderBLUE SR Flow Restrictor for specifications produced prior to the changeover where the ST Adjustable Flow Restrictor cannot achieve the required flow rate.

The new product is supplied in two versions:

• BauderBLUE ST-B – For Bituminous Systems
• BauderBLUE ST-HM – For Hot Melt Systems
