New RBM Roll Bars

tBauder are pleased to announce we will be launching two new roll bars.

As part of Bauder’s review of our installation tooling, we are pleased to introduce 2 new roll bars for use with our bitumen membranes to aid installation.

When does this come into effect?

These will be available to purchase as from 1st September 2025. The products will be added to the next version of the bitumen price list.

What size and length will the new roll bars be available in?

The new roll bars will be 3mm thick round mild steel bars with a diameter of 101.6mm, which is ideal for winding bitumen membranes onto. They will be available in 2 differing lengths—one at 1000mm for full width rolls and one at 450mm for half widths rolls. These do not come with a handle.

The bars are hollow section, and the ends are laser cut, so no burrs.

Why are we introducing new roll bars?
  • We have developed a new more cost effective roll bar to increase the use of more appropriate tooling as part of our waterproofing installation.
  • To ease the installation of Self‐adhesives and Torch‐on bitumen membranes.
  • The weight of the roll bar evenly spreads pressure to help the adhesion of self‐adhesive membranes and aids bitumen flow across the roll when using orch on membranes. This is especially important when applying mineral surfaced capping sheets.
What about the existing roll bar — handle and spindle?

With the introduction of the new roll bars, the handle and spindle have been discontinued and are no longer available to purchase.

Pricing

Pricing will be as follows:

Long‐handled lap roller

The use of a long‐handled lap roller is still required and these are available to purchase. These should not to be confused with the roll bar and spindle, as this product is a key component when installing self‐adhesive membrane laps.
