Fixing Bar
Our current steel Fixing Bar, used as a restraint within mechanically fastened single-ply installations, has been upgraded to enable the use of tube washers as well as standard fasteners.
The ability to use tube washers in conjunction with fasteners, rather than fasteners alone, will help reduce cold bridging in areas where the fixing bar is installed.
The length of the new Fixing Bar will increase slightly from 1.95 linear metres to 2.1 linear metres. However, the linear metre rate of the new bar will remain unchanged.
The new Fixing Bar will replace the current version, which incorporates only small fastener holes (6.5mm).
The frequency of the smaller holes on the new Fixing Bar remains sufficient for projects where tube washers are not required and only standard fasteners are to be used.

Availability
The new Fixing Bar was introduced during March 2020.
During the transition from the 1.95 metre bar to the 2.1 metre bar, orders will be processed accordingly to ensure customer requirements continue to be fulfilled.
