New Thermofol Walkway Membrane
We are introducing a new improved Thermofol Embossed Walkway Membrane.
The new Thermofol Embossed Walkway Membrane is a 2mm reinforced product featuring a distinctive embossed finish that provides greater slip resistance than the previous PVC walkway membrane.
Product Specification
Thermofol Embossed Walkway Membrane is supplied in the following format:
- Thickness: 2mm
- Roll Size: 0.75m × 20m (270m² per pallet)
- Roll Area: 15m²
- Weight: 2.2kg/m²
- Roll Weight: 33kg
Availability
The new Thermofol Embossed Walkway Membrane became available from UK stock in October 2021.
The existing Thermofol Walkway Membrane remained available for secured projects for the remainder of 2021 and was subsequently discontinued.
Product Changes
The colour of the new Thermofol Embossed Walkway remains the same as the previous walkway membrane.
The roll size, width and weight also remain unchanged.
The principal difference is the visibly raised embossed surface which provides enhanced slip resistance.
Due to this significant improvement, mixing the old and new walkway membranes on the same project should be avoided.
Ordering Information
During the transition period, Bauder requested that orders clearly state whether the requirement was for the new Thermofol Embossed Walkway Membrane or the previous Thermofol Walkway Membrane.
This assisted the Sales Department in managing stock allocation and supply requirements.
Pricing
The list price for the new Thermofol Embossed Walkway Membrane is £21.62/m².
Discounted pricing was available through local Area Technical Managers.
Existing Projects
It was recognised that some projects may have been secured based upon use of the previous Thermofol Walkway Membrane and had not yet commenced on site.
Where this was the case, contractors were asked to notify the Bauder Sales Department so that sufficient stock could be reserved and supplied when required.
As previously advised, the standard Thermofol Walkway Membrane was discontinued from January 2022. Supply after the New Year could only be guaranteed where requirements were communicated before Christmas.
For these projects, pricing arrangements should be discussed with the local Area Technical Manager.
