Product Naming Update

To ensure a consistent naming schedule, we are updating some of our product names in the UK from January 2023.

Bauder is pleased to announce that, as part of our continued commitment to providing a consistent and accurate service, we have launched PIM (Product Information Management).

PIM is the process of managing the data required for the marketing and sale of products.

A major benefit of PIM is that it ensures all data provided by Bauder UK is up to date, accurate and consistent. It improves efficiency and will assist us in becoming Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) compliant.

Being CCPI compliant is likely to become increasingly important to specifiers and surveyors in the future.

What Changes Will You Notice?

From January 2023, certain product labels will be updated to reflect a consistent naming convention used across Europe.

These changes will begin appearing on delivered products throughout 2023 as existing stock with current labels is depleted and newly labelled stock enters circulation.

Our website will also be updated to reflect the revised product names.

To assist with the transition, we have produced a crib sheet listing all products with updated names. This provides a quick reference guide when identifying old and new product names.

At launch, all despatch notes will include a QR code linking directly to the crib sheet on our website.

What Won't Be Changing?

The products themselves remain completely unchanged.

The only changes relate to the naming of selected products. Not all product names are affected.

These naming changes do not affect Hot Melt or Cold Liquid Applied products and systems.

Article numbers remain unchanged for all products.

How Will the New Naming Look?

In essence, the new 2023 product names are based on an alphanumeric acronym derived from the German product name, followed by an English descriptor, which in most cases reflects the previous UK product name.

Examples:

Thermofol Metal will become BauderPVC VBL 14 Metal
Angle Fillets will become BauderPIR T KL 50 Angle Fillets
EGV 3.5 will become Bauder EGV 35 TF Torch-On Underlayer

Key Points

Changes began being implemented from January 2023.
During the transition period you may receive products on site carrying a mixture of old and new product names.
A crib sheet has been produced listing all updated product names for reference.
Orders can still be placed using the old product names during the transition period.
Shipping documentation will show the new product names and include a QR code linking to the crib sheet.
Products themselves remain unchanged.
Article numbers remain unchanged.
Most naming changes apply to Single Ply accessories and Green Roofing products.

If a Bauder product does not appear on the crib sheet, its name has not changed.
