Delivery

Check delivery upon the receipt of the goods against the delivery note. Bauder will not be liable for further costs in the case of subsequent deliveries if it is later discovered that any material is missing or damaged.

Vegetation required for the day should be delivered on the day of installation.

Storage

Green roof components

Store outdoors and lighter-weight products protected against wind-uplift.
Do not expose to solvents, chemicals, temperatures exceeding 35 °C, naked flame or other ignition sources and cover with suitable robust UV resistant, flame-retardant tarpaulin.
Keep clear of other buildings or storage areas.
Where there are storage containers on site, these may be suitable for storing products.

Vegetation

Vegetation blankets should be rolled out and watered.
Plug plants should be positioned in a sheltered location and watered.
Seed mixes – place in a dry store.

The green roof components can be delivered and stored on site. Lighter-weight products such as BauderGREEN WSP 50 & 75 polystyrene reservoir board should be weighted down against wind-uplift.
Products should be stored out of direct sunlight and must not be exposed to temperatures exceeding 35°C.
Products must not be exposed to direct naked flame or other ignition sources, or to solvents or other chemicals. They should be covered with a suitable robust UV resistant, flame-retardant tarpaulin.
Ensure products are stored clear of other buildings and any other storage areas.
Where there are storage containers, these may be suitable for storing green roof products.
Vegetation should be delivered on the day of installation with quantities matching those to be installed on that working day.
Delivery of vegetation blankets can only be made Tuesday to Friday. Living vegetation should not be stored overnight without the following considerations:
- Vegetation blankets - roll out and water.
- Plug plants - position in a sheltered location and water.
- Seed mixes - place in a dry store.

Polyester reinforcement fleece

Store outdoors, on end/upright off the ground in dry conditions with suitable robust UV resistant, flame-retardant tarpaulin.

Store the materials outdoors, on end/upright and off the ground with suitable robust UV resistant, flame retardant tarpaulin. Ensuring the product(s) are clear of buildings and any other storage areas. Where there are storage containers on site, these may be suitable for storing products.
The product is packaged standing in a vertical position on a one-way pallet covered with polyethylene shrink wrapping. Individual rolls are wrapped in polythene protection.

Bauder insulation boards

All insulation boards must be kept dry, on pallets and off the ground. The packaging of Bauder insulation products should not be considered adequate for weather protection.
Store outdoors with suitable robust UV resistant, flame-retardant tarpaulin.
Ensure product(s) are located clear of buildings and any other storage areas.
Do not expose to a direct naked flame or other ignition sources, or to solvents or other chemicals.
If boards become wet, they must dry out naturally before installation. Do not dry the board facings with a gas torch
If storage containers are on site, these may be suitable for storing products.

All insulation boards must be kept dry, on pallets and off the ground. The packaging of Bauder insulation products should not be considered adequate for weather protection. The boards should be stacked clear of the ground and covered with suitable robust UV resistant, flame-retardant tarpaulin.
Insulation boards that have been allowed to get wet should be allowed to dry naturally before being used. Drying the board facings using a gas torch will cause delamination of the facing and affect the structural integrity of the board.
In addition, entrapped moisture within the board will lead to degradation of the insulation and loss of thermal performance will occur over time.

Bauder bitumen membrane access and protection layers

Store outdoors, on end/upright and off the ground, cover with suitable robust UV resistant, flame-retardant tarpaulin.
Locate clear of buildings and any other storage areas.
If storage containers are on site, these may be suitable for storing products.
Self-adhesive membranes must be stored out of direct sunlight.
During warm weather, all mineral finish capping sheets should be protected from excess heat.

All rolls of bituminous membranes should be stored on end to prevent deformation, which makes the product more difficult to install.
During periods of warm weather, all mineral finish capping sheets should be protected from excess heat as this may bring oils in the bitumen to the surface and cause staining of the mineral, giving a darker appearance. This washes off following rainfall but can cause temporary discolouration.

Primers and adhesives

Stored in a secure storage cage, unopened, in a dry condition and at a temperature stated on the Technical Data Sheet and/or Safety Data Sheet.
