Increased settlement rates for Bauder substrate
Clarification of estimated post installation coverage including settlement
Monitoring of the settlement rate for our substrates has shown that our latest blend of substrate may settle by a slightly variable rate, estimated to be between 10% and 13%. Therefore we are increasing the settlement figure to 15% to account for any minor variations and allowing for installation tolerances.
Bauder substrates are delivered in either bulk (1.25 m³)or 25 litre bags, which will vary in weight dependant on how damp the product is at production. Bauder Technical Data Sheets give the saturated weight of substrates once laid, this is used to calculate the maximum load being applied to the roof.
The saturated weight is not the same as the likely delivered weight of the product (this will be significantly lighter).
It is important to understand the characteristics of the substrate so the correct volume of material is laid. In future contractors will notice the following changes to Bauders product information for:
